1:1 Virtual Employment Coaching

When participants need a little more support, we're in their corner.

Work Forward gives child support participants the knowledge and skills to move toward employment.

1:1 coaching gives them a real person to turn to when questions, challenges, or roadblocks come up along the way.

Through focused virtual coaching, our employment professionals work directly with participants to help them navigate the real-time challenges of finding and keeping a job.

BRING 1:1 COACHING TO YOUR PROGRAM
WHY ADD OUR 1:1 COACHING TO YOUR PROGRAM?

Because the employment process doesn't always go according to plan.

A participant might have a question about an application.

They might get an interview and not know how to prepare.

They might not know what to say when reaching out to an employer.

They might get stuck after applying for several jobs without hearing back.

Or they might run into a challenge once they're on the job.

That's where having someone in their corner can make a difference.

Our coaches provide personalized, practical support when participants need it — helping them work through the situation in front of them and figure out what to do next.

Brian, Child Support Participant

"This coaching has changed my life. I know that sounds extreme, but no one had ever taken the time to focus on employment with me. Through coaching support, I realized I was missing some of the foundational tools needed not just to find a job, but to keep one and find a position that truly met my needs. Today, I have benefits, a steady paycheck, and opportunities for career growth for the first time in my life. I went from being unemployed for more than three years to working full-time in a job I genuinely enjoy. I'm incredibly grateful for the support and everything it helped me achieve."

Work Forward + 1:1 Coaching

A combination that gives child support participants both the tools and the support to use them.

Work Forward helps participants build the foundational knowledge and skills they need for employment.

1:1 Coaching gives participants access to an experienced employment professional who can help them apply those skills to their own situation.

Together, participants get learning + individualized support + real-world application.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUR PARTICIPANTS?

Focused Support. Real Progress.

Our coaching is intentionally focused. In our experience, child support participants have landed jobs in an average of three virtual coaching meetings, with targeted support for resumes, applications, interviews, and communicating with employers.

Every participant's needs and timeline are different, but our goal is always the same: identify what's getting in the way, address it, and help the participant move forward.

Ariel, Child Support Participant

"Before working with TCC, I wasn't really looking at work the right way. For years, I considered myself unemployed, but Mindy helped me realize that I had actually been working all along. I had been doing landscaping and property maintenance work for my landlord for a couple of years, but I never thought of it as something that belonged on a resume. Because of that, my resume made it look like I hadn't worked in a very long time.
One of the first things I learned through coaching was how to recognize the value of the experience I already had. After adding my landscaping work to my resume and making a few other changes, I started getting calls for interviews almost right away. As I continued to work with Mindy, those small changes kept adding, and I became much more confident talking about my skills and experience.
For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm moving forward instead of standing still. Getting this support has helped me build confidence, recognize my strengths, and take meaningful steps toward employment."
